This burn ointment contains raw honey and propolis. Honey has antibacterial properties, which protect and reguvenate the skin. When honey comes in contact with human skin or wounds, minute doses of hydrogen peroxide are continually released from the honey. Propolis exhibits anti-inflammatory and topical anesthesia. Propolis is antibacterial and antifungal. Most wounds heal best in a moist enviroment, making honey and propolis superior to other dressings, because of the antibacterial properties.
